We need each other.

You might have been a baby then, but I remember.

I was driving home through the mountain pass from my fiancé’s house early that morning. It was a gorgeous, sunny California morning. As I made my way over the pass, I hummed along with the radio, feeling lucky and content.

Abruptly, the song playing was interrupted.

“We have unconfirmed reports this morning that a plane has crashed into one of the towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. There is very disturbing live footage.”

I drove on in complete shock.

What happened?

By the time I reached home the radio news had been repeating the same few bits of information over and over again. The announcer sounded harried and confused.

By the time I got inside the house and turned on the television, the attack became even more real when a second plane struck the South Tower.

I immediately knew, this is something that we don’t understand. This is something we have never seen before.

The world came crashing down that day, but something remarkable came out of it. The shock and terror of it bonded us as human beings. It was instinctual to turn to one another.

This is the truth that became available to us on 9/11.

We need each other.

Yes. We need each other.

If something real in your life has shattered or even more real, needs shattering, DM me. Maybe a conversation is what will help you create magic.

In joy & love,
